    No Spoiler Review ~ Spellbinder

Spellbinder is the second book in the Moonshadow trilogy, which is Thea Harrison’s spin-off series of her Elder Races series. What really caught my attention about this series (aside from an intriguing world based on Celtic Fae mythology and amazing reviews) was the fact that this was a NY published author’s indie debut. After I read Moonshadow (Book 1) I was a fan of Ms. Harrison’s. So, while waiting for Spellbinder, I sought ought her related series, published by Berkley. I don’t know how I managed to miss these books before, because I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them all so far.

Book Birthday: To Tame a Wild Heart!

The newest book in my Zyne Legacy series is available today!  It’s also on sale for $.99 through June. She wants her freedom. Street hustler Audrey Taylor has carved a living out of society’s fringe using her supernatural abilities. Sleeping beneath the open skies and under the radar is all she’s ever needed. But when an ancient council of witches discovers her powers, Audrey is forced to submit to their control or end up stripped of her gifts and her memories. She knows better than to rely on or trust anyone and she’s never worked well with others, so it’s just her luck to be assigned the withdrawn and irritable…

2017 Intention: Lighting the Creative Fire

This year, as compared to last, my holiday season was back to the normal crazy. I much prefer it the way we did it last year — a 5 day escape to the winter wonderland that is Whistler, BC. Instead, we hosted family in our new home this year, which was its own kind of special. Especially with the flu hitting us hard the week of Christmas. So, I didn’t have time to do my traditional solstice ritual and meditation. And yet it still came to me, as soon as I was nestled in bed on Solstice night. Whispered by the voice deep within, which I’ve admittedly been remiss at…

Skydancer: Rain of Ash – Release Announcement!

I’m moving “Mystic Monday” to later this week so that I can share a special announcement: It’s here!  It’s finally here!  The first book in my new contemporary fantasy series, The Zyne Legacy has finally arrived on the Kindle shelf! I’m so excited about these stories and this world.  I’ll be releasing five Zyne books over the course of the next 18 months, so I hope that readers love the universe and characters as much as I do.

    Spring Writing Update

*crawls out from under rock* Hello, World! I can’t believe the month of May slipped by so quickly. I wish I had pictures of all the fancy dinners I’ve been out to, and all the GORGEOUS Washington hikes I’ve been on, and all the workouts I’ve been doing, and all the healthy food I’ve been cooking and craft projects I’ve completed.  But, noooooo…. I’ve been stuck inside the last month and a half, glued to my laptop.  If you could see inside my brain right now, it would look something like this:

    Book Reviewers: The New Gatekeepers?

Writing Wednesday is a day late this week – it’s been a crazy one.  This is an update on another chapter of the self-pub journey.  I feel like I’m peeling away layers of an onion, and the writer in me wants to catalog the journey. As an indie author, you’re not just the creator, you’re also potentially the editor, proofreader, formatter, packager, marketer, and salesperson.  On top of that, you’re the CEO, accountant, and creative team.  Whether you have experience in any of these realms, once you publish a book, the next question you’re going to ask yourself is, “Now, how do I get people (aside from friends and family who feel…
