Cloak of Deceit – FREE!

Cloak of Deceit is free on Amazon thru this Friday May 26th!

When her latest bad-boy lover accidentally turns her into a vampire, college senior Alex Moore discovers her latent telekinetic ability. Psychic powers mark her as one of the Grigori, the sworn enemies of the Undead. No one has ever been both. Caught in the middle of a war she doesn’t understand, Alex’s only hope for survival is a Knight of the Cloak – a sexy Undead enforcer named Julian. But will he give up his rank and cast aside old loyalties to save her? Can she harness her psychic powers and her Undead instincts while being hunted by both sides? And given her track record, can Alex really trust any man she’s that attracted to?

Cloak of Deceit is FREE until March 30th!

I’ve been so excited about this, talking about it on Facebook, and Twitter, and in real life… that I somehow forgot to blog about it.  If you haven’t gotten a copy yet and you’d like to sample my writing, my first book is available for FREE on Amazon for 3 more days!

I’ve posted another excerpt on Riverina Romantics, and I’m also giving away a $10 Amazon Gift Card to one lucky winner.

Yesterday was very exciting, watching my title climb the free charts.  I made it to #21 in Paranormal Romance/Psychics and #42 in Paranormal Romance/Vampires.  The numbers have gone down today, but that is still many hundreds more readers than I had before, so I’m pretty ecstatic!  To all of you who downloaded it, whoever you are… THANK YOU!

If you don’t have it yet, head on over and download a copy here. 🙂

Cloak of Deceit – Official Release!!!

Happy, happy day!!!

I knew it was going to be good. I slept in, but somehow made it to work on time. All the lights were green. It was nothing but good songs on the radio, no commercials. Then I found out my official release is now available in the Kindle store!!!

I did it!!!  My first indie-published title is now available through Amazon (exclusively, for now) at the links listed below.  I will be writing a post for next Weds on what steps I took to turn an old dusty manuscript on my word processor into a shiny new e-book for $0, as well as all the resources I used.  The entire process was pretty painless, and I have to say, I’m pretty proud of myself!

Fiction Friday (the first): Cloak of Deceit Excerpt

Welcome to Fiction Friday, where I will post excerpts of my books, current projects, or occasionally short pieces of fiction from my brain that won’t be published anywhere else.  Today, in honor of my upcoming release, I’m posting a little snippet from Cloak of Deceit, my new adult urban fantasy romance, which should be published by the time the Seahawks win their second Superbowl!!! 😉

Since I’m a one-woman-show, I spent several hours doing the formatting the past few nights and finally uploaded it to Kindle Direct Publishing last night at 10pm.  I’ll do a full post on that adventure next week.  This first book is a steep learning curve, and I want other indie authors to be able to follow in my tracks (assuming I’m successful – ha!).

For now, here’s an excerpt from Chapter Seventeen of Cloak of Deceit.  You can download the first three chapters here.  Please sign up for my newsletter if you want to be notified when the book is available for purchase on Amazon!  Happy Friday!  And GO HAWKS!!!
