Where has the summer gone!?!?
I find myself asking this question yet again, despite the fact that every year I vow to make the most out of the sparkling gem that is a Pacific Northwest summer. They are brief, but breathtaking.
The last few months have been a whirlwind of moving, settling, socializing, and taking part in a beautiful wedding of a dear friend. My lover has been working OT like he’s saving for the end of the world, and I’ve been hoarding what time I have to myself to focus on my upcoming release and decompress.
Today is the longest day of the year, but this year, we get a special treat. This solstice coincides with the full moon (June Strawberry Moon). Not only should all that extra sunlight make for a very beautiful, deep amber colored full moon, but it also adds to the energetic potency of this celestial holiday.
This super-charged full moon takes place in Sagittarius, the sign of the archer. It invites us to set our sights on a target or goal (hopefully one of positive change and growth) and to let loose the arrow. To let the currents of energy from this solstice jettison us into a new way of being, a new truth to embody. Or it could just be an opportunity to check in with the path you are walking, and if satisfied, recharge and power forward. Become that comet, blazing across your own horizon.
I have been remiss at blogging lately. A lot of things have been shifting and realigning around me, and when that happens, I’ve learned to just let go of the reins and trust that balance will return. It makes sense that life would feel chaotic right now.
We are approaching a major astrological power-punch. This year, the new moon (time to set intentions, manifest, create) in March is not only a supermoon (one of 6 times this year where the moon is as close as it can get to earth), but it also falls on the Spring Equinox. This rare trifecta is also occurring just as the moon is completing its dance around the zodiac and leaves the last degree of Pisces. This has astrologers buzzing about BIG THINGS about to happen, on a global, community, and personal level. Continue reading
It’s Mystic Monday again! Where I talk about all things mystical/magical/paranormal.
Because it’s fresh in my mind, I wanted to share a wonderful experience I had yesterday. It was a first for me. I joined a Virtual Soul Circle. What is that? Well, exactly what it sounds like – a gathering of souls who are sharing their energy at a distance. It’s basically a blend of a prayer circle and a guided meditation over the phone.
I’ll admit, I was a skeptic. I’ve done my fair share of circle rituals in the real world, and I figured going “virtual” was cheating/faking it and would somehow cheapen the experience. Man, was I wrong!
