I’m so proud to finally unveil the book trailer for RAIN OF ASH! Video produced by Margaret Kurniawan, who was an absolute joy to work with. What people are saying about the book: “A compelling and exciting story that mixes urban fantasy with delightful dark angst and wring-your-heart-out romance.” “Mitchell has once again created delicious and well rounded characters that leap right off the page.” Paperback and eBook (Kindle Unlimited) available here. Audiobook is about to drop!
I took a much-needed vacation in mid-November and once I came back, it was as if the wind had gone out of my sails. Not in a bad way! Actually it would be more accurate to say that instead of the hurricane frenzy I left in, I came back riding a nice subtle breeze. So rather than try to gear up for a big push at the end of the year, I decided to just relax and let things flow.
I got back in touch with my bookworm roots this year and it feels so damn good! I completed my Goodreads challenge of 50 books (54 total). Aside from reading a ton, I also got hooked on audiobooks this year and am going to include that as a format I use routinely, AND I happened to stumble upon my online tribe: #bookstagram . I am so thrilled to be welcomed into a community of readers who love to share and chat. It brought so much joy back into reading and has been a personal & writing inspiration too. I tried on a lot of different intentions and goals, but none of them resonated the way it has in the past when I find the right one. I took that as a good sign, that I didn’t have some blaring need or imbalance to address. But still…I needed my touchstone going forward. I need an intention. It is the idea that I use to filter all my other plans and goals: “Does this fit my intention?” If yes, proceed. That’s what…
Congratulations to all NaNoWriMo finishers!! It’s been a couple of weeks, so hopefully the dust has settled and you have caught up on sleep and real life and everything you let slide while you were furiously typing away. And maybe you’re asking yourself, “Okay, I finished a book…now what?” Or maybe you’re a veteran and already working on rewrites. Either way, you would be crazy not to take me up on this.
I have wanted to make something like this for a while. Take this fun quiz to find out what branch of the Threefold Path you are on.
